Yellow Pads gone

Farewell, fine friend.
Reference and directional questions will now be recorded only in LIBSTATS. There are a few things that you should be aware of in order to prevent some of the issues that will arise as we grow accustomed to this new routine.

**The door count and any tour counts will be recorded on the desk calendars at each reference desk.
**It is not necessary to enter any information in the question and answer sections for directional questions.

**Record each request for a book as a reference question including title and call number. If a patron requests 10 books, 10 separate questions should be recorded. It is not necessary to make these requests conform to the question/answer format; enter the title and call number of the book in the answer section; the question field may be left blank.

**All questions can be edited at any time by clicking on the number to the left of the question in the column labeled ‘Edit’. Edits can include changing the question type, adding useful info to a field, etc.

**There is a new ‘Green Sheet’ question type. Record patron contact information in the ‘Answer’ portion of the form.

**Green sheet questions should be edited include any research done on the question. If you are able to answer the question entirely, please enter your complete answer in sentences that will be understandable to a co-worker who is not familiar with the question.

**There is a new ‘Card Issued’ question type. Leave the question and answer fields blank and record a Card Issued question when you create a Computer Use card for someone.
