Flood Maps

According to the Harris County Flood Control District and FEMA, 1985 is the earliest Flood Insurance Rate Maps for Harris County. The Harris County Flood Control District and FEMA spent the 1970s and early 1980s compiling the maps. The process was started in 1971 and the 1985 maps will be the first official version. Anyone asking for Flood Insurance Rate Maps before 1985 should be referred to an elevation map for the area if we have any from the 1970s.
